Syntax

Call notesUIDocument.Import( [ filter$ , filename$ ] )

Parameter

filter$

String. Optional. The type of file as specified below. The specification must be exact except for case.

• Lotus Word Pro
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft RTF
• Microsoft Word

• WordPerfect 5.x
• WordPerfect 6.0/6.1
Nota This list is subject to change. To verify the list, check "Files of type" in the "Import" dialog box.

String. Optional. The name of the file.

The focus must be in a rich text field for this method to work.

Specify no parameters or both parameters:

• If you specify no parameters, the "Import" dialog box appears. The user selects the file type and file name.
• Specifying the parameters bypasses the "Import" dialog box. Additional dialog may appear, for example, the query "Preserve existing line breaks in text?" in the case of ASCII Text files.
